Description

The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Extreme 8K HDR video recorder and player handles footage up to 4320p60 via Quad Link 12G-SDI. It has 4× 12G-SDI inputs and 4× 12G-SDI outputs; the four inputs can also be recorded as separate Ultra HD files.

The 7″ HDR touchscreen LCD has a resolution of 1920 × 1200 and a brightness of 2000 nits. Recording is available to 2× CFast 2.0 cards, an external USB-C drive or network storage; an M.2 PCIe NVMe slot is provided for cache or internal recording.

ProRes, H.265, H.264 and DNx formats are supported within the specified resolution limits. Monitoring tools include waveform, RGB parade, vectorscope and histogram, with support for 33-point 3D LUTs. Connections include HDMI 2.0, analog video and audio, 10G Ethernet and RS-422 control. The unit has an internal 100–240 V AC power supply and a 12 V DC input.
