Description
The BOYA BY-BM3031 is a directional microphone with a condenser capsule. It connects to DSLRs and camcorders via a 3.5mm jack plug. Its integrated shockmount cradle can be fixed to either a shoe mount or a 1/4" thread. The unit also has a headphone jack for real-time monitoring. It runs on 2 AA batteries, which can provide up to 120 hours of operation (depending on battery quality). Thanks to the directional pickup pattern, people in front of the microphone come through more dominantly in the recording than those standing to its sides, making it a handy companion at any event.
Additional adjustment options:
- Low-cut filter (0Hz,80Hz)
- PAD (-10dB, 0, +20dB)
The standard accessories are a foam windscreen, a furry windshield and a carrying bag.
