Rode SmartLav+ clip-on lavalier microphone for iPhone, iPad and smartphones

The RODE SmartLav is a professional lavalier microphone designed for a wide range of uses. It lets you record straight onto iPhone, iPad, iPad Touch devices and smartphones. We recommend it to reporters, for TV shoots, for recording lectures and presentations and for every situation where a speaker's voice has to be captured in good quality without expensive recording gear. The RODE SmartLav lavalier microphone is a great help in almost any situation in life when professional audio recording is needed. Its four-pole TRRS connector plugs into iPhone, iPad and iPad Touch devices as well as many smartphones, and it works with practically any recording app. With RODE's own RODE Rec and RODE Rec LE apps, recording and managing the recorded material moves up a level (iPhone and iPad only). List of compatible smartphones Thanks to its omnidirectional condenser capsule, the SmartLav picks up sound with the same sensitivity from any point around the microphone, so it can be placed almost anywhere on the speaker and the result will be nearly always the same quality. The microphone ships as standard with a WS-LAV wind-noise reducing foam, a very useful accessory for outdoor recording, a LAV-CLIP clip that fastens the mic to clothing and other materials and has a cable guide so the mic cable stays easy to handle, plus a handy carry pouch. The SmartLav is fully compatible with the following Apple devices: iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPad (3rd and 4th generation), iPad 2, iPad, iPad mini, iPod touch (1st - 5th generation), and with the smartphones listed at this link.
