Description

The Sirui 40mm T1.8 autofocus anamorphic lens is designed for Sony E mount cameras and the Super 35 / APS-C format. Its neutral flares take on the colour of the light source. Desqueezing the 1.33x anamorphic image in post-production produces a 2.35:1 aspect ratio from 16:9 footage.

STM autofocus supports eye autofocus and subject tracking; manual focus is also available. The lens has a T1.8–T22 aperture range, 11 aperture blades and a Click ON/OFF switch. Its optical construction comprises 16 elements in 12 groups, including 5 cylindrical and 1 aspherical element.

The minimum focus distance is 0.6 m and the filter thread is M77 × 0.75. The lens has an aluminium alloy housing, electronic contacts and USB-C firmware updates. It weighs 633 g without caps.
