The key feature of the 055XPRO3 is its 90-degree centre column mechanism, which lets the column extend either in the normal vertical position or horizontally, opening up a wide range of framing options. That makes the 055XPRO3 an extremely versatile tripod, suited to a broad range of photo and video work. For compactness, the horizontal centre column mechanism sits in the top section of the tripod, yet it extends quickly and easily whenever you need it. Switching between the vertical and horizontal positions calls for no disassembly and can be done even with a camera mounted.
