  - The new 055 carbon fibre 4-section tripod delivers maximum rigidity from the lightest possible components: a piece of engineering craftsmanship for photographers who want to get the most out of their tripod and need something easy to carry. The 100% carbon fibre tubes and the new QPL leg lock system increase the tripod's rigidity, absorb vibration and keep camera gear steady in any conditions. The carbon fibre tubing and magnesium castings also cut the tripod's weight compared with the equivalent aluminium version. - The tripod's standout feature is the 90-degree centre column, which moves horizontally as well as in the usual vertical position, opening up a wide range of uses for both stills and video. The horizontal column mechanism is tucked away inside the centre of the tripod, but comes out quickly and easily. Switching between vertical and horizontal takes no tools, and can be done even with the camera already mounted.
