Rode NTG-4+ professional short shotgun microphone with built-in Li-ion battery

The RODE NTG-4+ is the manufacturer's newest short shotgun microphone, building on the foundations laid by its award-winning predecessors while bringing plenty of new features. A sensitive, high-quality microphone equally at home in live sound, broadcast and film work, mounted on a camera, on a stand or on a boom pole. This microphone is the version of the NTG-4 fitted with a Li-ion battery. The built-in battery lets you use the microphone with devices that cannot supply phantom power.  

Digital high-pass filter and pad switches

  The digital switches on the microphone body engage a 75Hz high-pass filter, a high-frequency boost and a -10dB pad. That makes the microphone suitable for outdoor recording and stage sound alike. When switched off, the microphone "remembers" the settings, and on power-up the last state is always active again.  

Super low microphone noise

  The predecessors of the NTG-4 were award-winning products too, but the new microphone performs better in every respect. Its completely new capsule and electronics deliver higher sensitivity with even lower self-noise, and its sound has become fuller and more characterful.    

Built-in Li-ion battery

The NTG-4+ is a real professional innovation! The first microphone with a built-in Li-ion battery that gives more than 150 hours of run time and needs just 2 hours for a full charge. The battery is charged with the supplied (or any standard) MicroUSB cable, from a computer, a mains adapter or even a car charger. The MicroUSB charging port sits above the microphone's XLR connector.   The NTG-4+ draws the phantom power it needs from its built-in battery.
