DESCRIPTION:

The Manfrotto Befree GT Alpha carbon fiber tripod is a special version of the Befree GT carbon fiber, developed specifically for Sony Alpha cameras to deliver maximum stability at any shooting angle. The plate was designed specifically for Sony α7 and Sony α9 bodies to give a perfect grip even when heavily tilted. The ridge at the front of the plate physically blocks the camera, preventing sideways and rotational movement, so the camera is always held firmly on the plate. The result is impressive camera stability that delivers brilliant sharpness. The plate is fully compatible with Manfrotto RC2 and Arca-Swiss type heads, the most widely used standards in the world. Once this plate is fitted to the Sony camera, you can attach it quickly and easily to every Manfrotto head and to almost every Arca-Swiss type head on the market, with no further fitting. The Befree GT is the most professional solution in Manfrotto's wide travel tripod range. It perfectly combines portability - only 43 cm when closed - with impressive stability that keeps work light and smooth even with up to 10 kg of gear. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the Befree GT is comfortable, fast and safe to use. The new top casting of the Befree GT gives maximum stability even on uneven ground, so the camera stays steady and the images stay sharp. Its leg lock is Manfrotto's own M-lock, which closes fast and perfectly with a single 90-degree twist. Thanks to the twist lock design the tripod is quick and easy to use, and the M-lock has no protruding parts and closes perfectly around the head, so the Befree GT fits into any bag. The ergonomic leg angle selector is comfortable for right-handed and left-handed photographers alike, so changing perspective is intuitive and never takes your attention off the shot. The legs of the carbon fiber Befree GT can be set independently at 3 different angles, giving complete freedom in composition and in realising creative ideas. The top casting also has an Easy Link connector, just like the professional Manfrotto models, the 190 & 055 tripods, so accessories can be mounted on the tripod and your photographs can be made special and unique. A light source or a reflector can be attached to the tripod with arms, giving you extra effects on outdoor shoots that used to require an additional stand. This tripod comes with the Manfrotto 496 aluminum center ball head (MH496-BH), an easy to carry yet strong and intuitive solution that allows smooth and precise camera movement. The 496 has three independent controls that give it versatility. The main ergonomic knob handles the ball lock, the integrated friction control knob sets the tightness of the ball so the weight of the rig is always perfectly balanced and the composition is easy to change. An independent panoramic knob holds the horizon and moves the camera horizontally, so you can shoot wonderful landscapes with it. The unique quick release plate is fully compatible with the most widespread standards in the world, the Manfrotto RC2 and the Arca-swiss system. With this aluminum plate fitted to the camera, you can use the body quickly and easily with every Manfrotto head and with almost any Arca-swiss type head, without having to refit anything. The carbon fiber Befree GT is the finest tripod for photographers who expect maximum performance and ultra-light weight from their tripod, even while travelling.
